How does the Privacy Rule work with regards to patient rights?
The Privacy Rule grants patients authority over their health information, including rights to access, inspect, copy, and amend their health records. This includes the right to access, review, and obtain copies of their health records, as well as to request amendments. Additionally, patients are entitled to a notice that clearly outlines how their health information may be utilized and disclosed
